With the ringing in of the New Year, comes the inevitable looming 31st January Self Assessment Deadline and it always surprises me how many sole traders and individuals with tax affairs that require filing, call us in the last few weeks leading up to the deadline.
I have been quite fortunate that clients tend to have already sorted some of their paperwork into months, so it’s just a case of setting up a system and processing the numbers.
On the horizon is the HMRC ‘Making Tax Digital’ which should help smooth out the workflow for businesses like mine, rather than have a lot of work come in January.
With that in mind, I am advocating that clients who have to invoice as part of their sales or who are VAT registered, to move to a Xero accounting system, as it will make the inevitable quarterly filing much easier going forward.
To do my part in helping businesses transition over to a digital accounting package
I have decided to give new clients the option of having one of three great offers, I currently have available.
Offer 1* – A 20% discount on the standard price of a Xero monthly subscription plan.
Offer 2** – Where clients want us to provide all their data entry, sales invoicing and credit control for the business, we are offering a **discounted rate of £10 per month for a Xero subscription.
Offer 3*** – Where a business has a simple accounts system, which has cash-based transactions with few or sales invoices, then we will provide at no cost, a Xero partner subscription for either Ledgers, Cashbook Non-VAT or Cashbook VAT.
